Being consistent, according to Oxford Dictionary’s definition, is “the quality of achieving a level of performance which does vary greatly in quality over time.”
Living a positively consistent life not only improves your life, but it also affects those around you , directly or indirectly. You are unknowingly a role model for those in your immediate environment. I stress on the word “positively” as one can be “negatively” consistent as well, which could lead to defeat. However, for most people, being consistent connotes positive improvement over a period of time.
Being positively consistent enables you to:
- establish and maintain trust
- form habits that hopefully lead to success
- stay focused on your goal(s)
- develop routines . . . making you more productive
- measure how effective you are in specific areas of your life (i.e. weight loss journey, your finances, raising your children, your education, or overall self-improvement, to name a few)
Keeping in mind that “what you do speaks louder than what you actually say”, take a step in the right direction today by being positively consistent. It will enable you to create positive habits over time . . . which in turn develops a level of discipline . . . and discipline leads to a successful life.
Jesus, our example-setter, was always positively consistent . . . He did not come to destroy the law, but to uphold and fulfill the law . . . He always made sure that His word matched up with His actions and with what His Father, Almighty God said. God says that “He is the same yesterday, today and forever, He changes not” . . . That’s consistency! His promises are true for He will never let you down. So ask God to help you as you practice some tips on being positively consistent . . .
Wishing you the very best as you begin your positively consistent journey. May God bless you and grant you peace. 🙂
